I would eject myself from that league.

Kudos to you for being able to put up with that beer league BS.

Actually, it wasn't really a beer league setting. Normally, the teams are there for some good fun, and there are a number of good athletes playing in this league. My guess is that R1 has some deeper issues about having a man grab her, and she freaked out. F1's intentions were very clear in his body language that he was trying to be a good sportsman and not let a fellow softball player fall down and get hurt.

Only reason why I'm second guessing this one is simply because, well, I was a psych major, and I deeply sympathize with women who may have had, well... choices taken from them. However, I still could not condone a very physical retaliation, and that's why I had tossed her.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Well, from the wording of the OP the runner physically struck and/or shoved F1. Hard to argue an ejection when that happens.

Let me ask you this, if the sexes had been reversed, would you be second guessing the ejection of a male runner who struck and/or shoved a female defender?

I wouldn't second guess the ejection either way.
