Are you sure the plate cap is not legal in ASA? I can't find anywhere where ASA specifies the size of the bill on the cap. (I don't wear them, but I think they are legal.) Maybe it is just your local rule?

Dave,

The ASA, and any local association, etc., has a right to specify our uniforms so that we look, well, uniform!
