Ban the parents

I came across this article today...

I say ban the parents. Period.

I haven't decided if I should call it from the dugout or the outfield. Apparently, both have really great views!

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.

Let's see... some of the offending parents are on the LL board, and the LL board is "investigating"? Good luck with that.

The police should have been called and assault charges, battery charges, terroristic threats charges (depending on what was done when the umpires were cornered) pressed. Get a rap sheet started for some of these "board members."

At the end of the article, it implies that the "children" should manage the "adults". I agree.

The Reality of Little league

Internet joke:

At one point during a game, the coach called one of his
7-year-old baseball players aside and asked, "Do you understand
what cooperation is? What a team is?"

The little boy nodded in the affirmative.

"Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose
together as a team?"

The little boy nodded yes.

"So," the coach continued, "I'm sure you know, when an out is
called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call
him a pecker-head. Do you understand all that?"

Again the little boy nodded.

He continued, "And when I take you out of the game so another
boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call
your coach 'a dumb a**hole' is it?"

Again the little boy nodded.

"Good," said the coach. "Now go over there and explain all that
to your mother."

Letter of apology was nice. BUT...

Couldn't they at least offer to BUY them some pizza?
It would be better than the usual LL pay: hot dog and coke.

New activity fees for parents

I THINK WE ARE DOING THIS ALL WRONG
WE SHOULDN'T BE CHARGING THE KIDS TO PLAY SPORTS

WE SHOULD BE CHARGING THE PARENTS WHO TRY AND HELP COACH

$150 PER SPORT IF FROM THE STANDS

$300 PER EVENT IF YOU END UP IN THE COACHES OFFICE OR LOCKER ROOM TO
GIVE
THEM ADVICE

$500 IF YOU CALL OR SHOW UP AT THE COACHES HOME TO GIVE THEM ADVICE

$1000 IF YOU CALL THE A.D. TO GIVE THEM THEIR OPIONION ON THE COACHE'S
COACHING TECHNIQUES

$100/SPORT/GAME TO HELP REFEREE

AN EXTRA $100 FOR EACH IF YOU BRING YOUR SPOUSE OR FRIEND ALONG JUST TO
HAVE
THEM SAY, "ASK HIM ABOUT THIS TOO", OR "REMEMBER THAT OTHER THING HE
DID".

NO MAXIMUM AT ANY LEVEL

This should raise a hell of a lot of more money for the various
activities,
as well as end a lot of the whining.
