Check Swing
Situation:
NFHS rules. R1 on first. 2 outs. 3-1 count. Next pitch out of the strike zone, I call ball. BR advances, forcing R1 to 2nd. While BR is advancing, F2 asks me to request help on a check swing, which I do. U2 comes back with a strike. BR returns to the plate. While BR is returning, U3 instructs R1 to return to first . I have BR in the box and now OC is ready to explode, wanting us to put his runner back on second. We didn't have a dead ball until the coach starts talking to me. Here's the question: Can we put the runner on second, or do we leave her on first? Rules support please.

Lessee... I guess you got about 3 choices..
"Lifes not fair, let em kick rocks" - leave em advanced "The umpires call put them at a disadvantage" - fix it "Dont let them appeal the check swing in this situation"- prob solved. There that about covers it according to a combination of written rules with a sprinkling of God Rule mixed in. Good luck!
