Intent? No. Attempt? Yes.

So ... you're saying it's possible to actively attempt to hit a ball, but for that attempt to be unintentional? I do believe that by it's very nature, an attempt to do ANYTHING is an intentional act.

My post was a light-hearted attempt to poke humor at the "intent" issue... nothing more. I was not infering that an attempt is not intentional... (well, sarcastically I was... )
