Balls a flyin
So the playoffs started around here and they are using some new fields about an hour away. I go to the first nights game and the fields are nice. They got it all up to and including warning tracks. So the games start and we have a problem-the fields are too close together and the fences aren't quite tall enough. So balls are landing on the other fields like all night. Not an occasional ball but lots of them.
So if a ball lands on the field during play is that an automatic dead ball or is that something that is up to the umpires judgement ? |

If during an active play, just watch to ensure the correct ball is in play. Let play continue. If possible, call time and have someone toss the ball over the fence.
