Want to get in fastpitch
I have refereed basketball at the highschool and small college ranks. I have also umpired major open and below slow pitch softball for about 15 years. Having to grasp a totally different strike zone will be challenging. However, I think I can apply alot of my officiating and umpiring experience at the fastpitch level. Besides buying the NFHS books and taking the test what else will help me to prepare for endever. I would like to do as well as I can on the test. Any thoughts on how else to prepar.

If you think the strike zone will be a problem, try visualizing pitches each day while you are doing squatting exercises to get your thighs in shape. Find someone else with FP experience and talk about local customs and practices. Your other officiating experience will help, just lighten up a little from basketball and major SP. Also, I was going to say check in on the NFHS forum, but now I see you did. Don't confine yourself to HS, youth fast pitch is great and if you can find adult fast or modified, go for it.
