Coach Joe sounds a bit like Coach Steve that I had last night. I was informed by said Coach that there is no way a runner can be safe on a force at 2nd if she goes in standing up.

And I'm not really taking a serious shot at Coach Joe, although is post is obviously lacking. I'm just taking this opportunity to give a little back to the Coaches of the world since I have to bite my tongue during games.

The way the OP is worded, it sounds as if the Coach was already on the field and talking to the players before time was granted.
