How much has to be fair??

Ok not to hijack a former thread. On a bounding ball that crosses 1st or 3rd, how much of the base does it have to cross? Does it have to bounce over just the front corner, or does it have to stay fair (over the base) till it passes the back corner? I know this is a small difference but just wondering. I tried to draw a picture in word, but it was too large of a file to attach!

Thanks, and for the record the call I posted in the other thread the ball was completely over third, I was just wondering for future reference.

Any part of a base is the base, just like any part of the SZ is the SZ.

Oh yeah, unless it's the safety part, outside the line.
