When I've had this situation before I start with a word to the coach between innings. I really don't want to see anyone hurt.
If the catcher continues to "creep" forward, that's when I would find in necessary to clean the plate. I'd look her in the eye and take that opportunity to remind her (For her safety) to move back a little. Just a friendly reminder. David
