I agree with you 100%. I wonder if also in this kind of situations preventive officiating will help a lot. If I see something illegal like this (bandaid on a finger) during warm-up pitches, I can go to the pitcher after he/she finish and check it (e.g. I will let the others believe I want to check/change the game ball). A.
