My experience is just the opposite. I worked high school ball for 4 years before I went to ASA.
I enjoy high school ball. The quality may not be as high as 18U or 18U Gold...but I enjoy the varsity competition environment. Only real problem I've experienced is that the coaches, players and fans don't always understand the rule differences between federation & summer ball. Enjoy it.
