Working a 16U game this weekend, and heard a dad in the stands yelling vehemently that the batted ball hit the plate before it went into fair territory, and that it should be a foul ball. He continued to yell as we all got ready for the next batter. The players knew, the coaches knew, seems as though he was the only one who was hell bent on demonstrating his ignorance.
Some myths just keep propogating, for whatever reason.
