To continue with Glen's original thought in this thread:

You know what really feels good? Last night, working with a partner that I have called with many times, we have a run down between first and second. We both do a textbook bracket of the runner, who makes it back safe to first on a mishandled throw. Almost immediately, F3(or whoever picked up the ball) guns to third to try and pick off another runner. The balls gets past the defender and the runner breaks for home, and, you guessed it, gets caught in a rundown. Both partner and myself bust our bust to get over there, and again bracket the rundown. Runner is tagged on the third or fourth retreat back to third. After the inning, offensive coach comes over and compliments our seamless coverage of both plays, and tells us that watching us made him tired! Gotta love it!

I thought they developed a sports bra to take care of that.

I know Roger is picking on me, because I know he is too smart to honestly believe what he said is actually what occurs.

Smile Makes your day

Had 2 episodes recently that fit the "Really Feels Good" theme.

After a particularly close game with some close calls, rules questions, and heated discussions, I had the losing coach call me at home just to let me know I had done a good job.

After another close, high scoring game in which a coach questioned a couple of key decisions, in the parking lot, he thanked me, and said "You were absolutely great, and you were absolutely right." The last clause is the important one.

Bue it is refreshing to know there are some "good" coaches out there to go with those we read about that could be a great deal better.
