The NFHS DP/FLEX Rule is now available for viewing/copying
or whatever on line at http://wwwsaumpires.com. It is 34
pages long. They have also included a brief view of the OBS
and Interference Rule.

DP/FLEX is just like ASA/NCAA/AFA. Coaches are just afraid of
it. Have already received three calls to come to their schools
and go over it with them.

No problem, they are furnishing meal and travel money.

Your not going to intentionally screw it up so they keep bringing you back, are you?

Now that is a good idea. Just give a portion this week
and go back next week. Maybe by Feb., when the regular season
begins, I will have given them all the information.

Those aren't 34 typewritten pages, though. They are Power Point pages. I saw them at the State meeting and have looked at them on the web site. They are really good.

Texblue,

May not be, but if you print them, they are.
Trust me...I did..I keep a loose leaf notebook for all
communications for the different associations. Even print
the rules for the ones that are available on line. Have a
check list for equipment, have directions to ball parks, a
list of all umpires & phone nrs.. Also a copy of all the
good threads posted here, current copy of banned bats list.
Have blank pages to record any unusual events that take place
in each game and extra line-up cards for coaches that use
paper sacks, etc.

Yup Glen, you are right. We printed them for everyone in our association when we got back from state. We had a table covered with them at the last local meeting. However, I must say that I thought Nell gave an excellent presentation. I know that when I am standing on the field from now on, I will have me a couple of "light bulb" moments!
