Tri-Color Glove

NFHS
3rd baseman is using a glove with 3 colors. Is this legal? If not, what is the penalty? Is it up to the opposing team to say something, or does the umpire call it if noticed?

What rules were being used? It matters.

For NFHS a maximum of 2 colors not including stitching is allowed. Cannot include the color of the ball. Pg. 12 of Rules Book.

The opposing team or umpire can bring it up. First offense would result in a warning. You've asked the coach if his team is properly and legally equipped and will remain so for the entire contest. This qualifies as not properly equipped.

USA Softball does allow for multi-colored gloves. Pg. 36 of Rules Book.

LL SB allows multi-color for the pitcher as long as it's not the color of the ball. No color limit of the other fielder's gloves.
