To start, a watch or heavy bracelet are probably the most dangerous pieces of jewelry that can be worn on the field.

NFHS rule is ludicrous because it is absolute and assumes parental responsibility which isn't theirs to assume.

A soft bracelet is of no danger to any other participant. Earrings are of no danger to any other participant. Studs or nose rings are of no danger to any other participant.
