Measuring Bases

When setting up a field do we measure home to first/third to the front or the back of the bag?
While we are at it is 2nd base measured by the front, back or center from the plate?

All measures from the plate us the back tip. Bases and pitching plate are to the nearest edge.

On 60 and 90 ft baseball fields 2B is centered on its base point. 1B and 3B outside outfield side corner is on base point. If softball is different we are going to have to go back and revisit all those calls at 1B on multi use 60 ft. fields

Disagree on the bases measurement. First and third are measured from back tip of plate to the outfield side of the base. Bases (with a portion of second base excepted) are totally inside the diamond.

Don't have reference handy, books in the car.

This is true, home, first and third are completely inside the diamond. Second base is centered on the intersection of the 1-2 and the 2-3 base lines so that only the inside quarter of the base is inside the diamond.

At least I was right about the tip of the plate.

Bases ....snip .... are NOT to the nearest edge.

Actually I think we do measure the pitching plate from it's inside edge.
But am not 100% sure.
Help...
