Free Kick - GoalKeeper
Had a discussion with a coach about 'any' free kick from within the penalty area by the defensive team MUST result in the ball having to leave the penalty area prior to it being touched by another player.
Can someone please refer me to a Law of the game that specifically references his rule? Play: A1 attempts to pass to A2 who is in an offside position as they are about to receive the ball. It is within the 6-yard line. Ball is moved out to the 6-yard line which results in an indirect kick and the ball must now 'clear' the penalty area prior to it being touched by another player. Thanks ! |
