Injured player cursing

U-14 game today. In the first five minutes, a player was tripped a went down, hurting her wrist pretty badly. She cried, "Sh*t!"

At that moment, I was more concerned about getting the coach over to tend to the injured player than penalizing the language. The player was replaced, and I resumed play.

At halftime, I went to check on her, and while her tears had subsided, it was pretty clear she wasn't going to return. I let her know that I heard her cursing, and that she might not want to do that again, especially when scholastic play begins. I saw no point in considering a card at that time, especially if she wasn't going to return.

Any thoughts on the way I handled this?

USSF: Why do believe that a card is warranted in this situation? Have you checked what it says in the ATR?

NFHS: Incidental use of profanity = caution
However, I wouldn't be surprised if most referees ignored it.
