New View vs Standard View in Masks

Now that new views have been around for a bit, I was wondering if there were any thoughts on the thought that the new views won't deflect foul balls very well.

For those of you who have used them...

I think the rule is no run can score IF the BR is put out before reaching first, not if he doesn't reach first safely. Two different things it seems, and importantly so.

Why didn't the PU give a dropped-third-strike mechanic?

Would have saved him some trouble. I know for HS we're instructed to give our strike mechanic followed...

Surprise is our worst enemy

The reason he missed this was because the runner started at 2b on the wild pitch. It doesn't look like PU anticipated him coming all around to score, and once the runner did, PU was out of position. ...
