Dan, so are you saying that one the runner is commited to second she HAS to run? If so, it seems pretty lopsided in the defense's favor. All a team would have to do is wait until the runner commits...

How do NF and ASA codes handle pitched balls into the dirt which then hit the batter? Are those HBP and dead balls?

Dropped third strike -- differences within codes?

Thanks for the great explanations on dropped third strikes. One question comes to mind as I read this -- is the interpretation / application the same in both National Federation and ASA rules?
