Thinking of officiating

I've been approached by a member of my football officiating association about calling lacrosse this winter. My son played when he was in high school, but clearly I'll need to better understand the rules if I agree. Can anyone give some advice to a football official who never played the game to prepare to be a strong onfield lacrosse official?

Hope it isn't too late

Look up the nation NFHS website and look for similar group in your state area.
Recommend buying NFHS rule books, other available literature, stretching, diet and exercise.
NFHS | Sports & Rules Information

Contact local NFHS officiating group or association for training and clinics.
