Goal judges??

Is it normal to work games where no goal judges are present & the penalty box attendants have to keep track of shots on goal?

This is going to depend quite a bit on the level.

NHL, AHL? No.

Local Mitey Mite League? Yeah probably.

Also, at the NHL level at least, the goal judges do not track shots on goal. The goal judge's only job is to flip the light on when he determines a puck has entered the goal.

The levels I am interested in are junior Tier I-Tier III USA Hockey.

In the NHL, who normally tracks shots on goal?
