If there were anything else about a player's dress that was out of regulation, wouldn't the player be disqualified until the gear conformed? I mean, the colors either allow the officials & opponents to read the shirt numbers easily enough or not. If not, why continue the game? |

If they're going to accede to leverage like that, I could imagine things the home team in particular could say at the last min. is out of their control but happens to benefit them.
