Seems pretty silly to me to penalize just once a condition that remains for the rest of the period. If there were anything else about a player's dress that was out of regulation, wouldn't the player be disqualified until the gear conformed?

I mean, the colors either allow the officials & opponents to read the shirt numbers easily enough or not. If not, why continue the game?
