Anybody ever officiated in the NC/SC Shrine Bowl?

I have the honor of doing so this year. Just wanted to hear some experiences of those who've done in years past.

Congratulations.

It's on my bucket list. My R and FJ from our 2012 final have both worked it. I attended in 2006 to watch a friend's nephew play.

It seems to be a class operation from all accounts.

Thanks. Yes was definitely on my bucket list as well. So grateful for the opportunity. I've been to several Shrine Bowls simply as a fan, and it seems like an awesome event (the whole week).

Congrats on your selection.

My father had the Honor to work the Shrine Bowl in 1973. Not only did he enjoy working the game, but he had a great time at the events leading up to the game. My mother also had a great time. She and the other official's wives were in the parade the morning of the game. Once they arrived at Memorial Stadium, they were escorted to their seats by the Shriners and in her words "they treated us like Royalty." Actually I think my mother enjoyed it more than my dad.

Again, Congrats and Enjoy.

Not yet.

Congratulations.

And yes, it's a classy affair. The Chairman of the Shrine Bowl Committee is a member of our local association.
