In South Dakota the 9-man teams, which is the majority of teams in the state, do not have a numbering requirement! Talk about trick plays and coaches trying to try some unique formations. We get it all out here! Jim

Our lower division programs JV, SOPH's 9th etc. are a little more loose with the numbering requirements.
