Yes, but the coach made a very good point. It seems that one official said it was ok, and then they got flagged for it by another official. If that were true (and of course, we know how coaches and the press twist s**t all the time), then that official who misled the coach before the game probably needs to hit his books better.

I've had games where the coach would explain a play they were going to run and by his explanation of the play it would be perfectly legal. But then when they run it in the game it is not exactly the same and thus illegal. I would like to hope that is the case in this situation.
