Texas pays varsity crews (5 man crews) based on a percentage of the total gate proceeds:
GROSS GATE RECEIPTS FEES GROSS GATE RECEIPTS FEES Up to $150 - $45 $4,000 to $5,000 - $80 $150 to $250 - $50 $5,000 to $7,500 - $85 $250 to $500 - $55 $7,500 to $10,000 - $90 $500 to $1,000 - $60 $10,000 to $12,500 - $95 $1,000 to $2,000 - $65 $12,500 to $15,000 - $100 $2,000 to $3,000 - $70 $15,00 to $17,500 - $115 $3,000 to $4,000 - $75 $17,500 to $20,500 - *$125 * for each additional $5,000 above $20,500 add $20 to fee. Timers get 50% of whatever the crewmember game fee ends up being but never less than $35. I have only been paid for 2 games so far this year. One had a crowd of about 2,500 and paid $113 (includes a standard $10 mileage fee) The other had a crowd of about 4,000 and paid $158 (including the standard $10 mileage fee). |

![]() From what I understand, Houston negotiated some flat fees for sub-varsity, TAPPs games, ECOs, etc. Don't know the exact details though.

in Mass, 80 for varsity (5man crew). 55 for subvarsity (3man)...still can't get over 5man crews in north carolina subvarsity games. that's crazy. good for you guys.
best gig around here, payday-wise, is the New England Jr. League. 4-man crew. you do double-headers of kids in 5th-7th grade. and it's $140 cash per official |

Downstate Illinois (you know, the area the areas south of Chicago).
![]() $50-75 for a single varsity game (5-man crews) $80-120 for a double-header (Soph plays before Varsity, 5-man) $40-60 for an underclassman game. (mostly 4-man crews) $35-50 per game for multiple a peewee/Jr High games (3 to 5 man depending upon the league).

I'm not really sure.
It's been that way since I have been officiating. I guess because the whitehat theoretically has more headaches. It used to be $5 and it was raised to $15 a couple of years ago when we all got raises. |

For playoff games they add $10 to each official's pay. Sub-varsity (3 or 4-man crew), we get $35. Clock operators get $40. |

In South Central Nebraska, most schools pay by the crew...
Varsity games range from 325 to 400. Mostly 5 man crews a couple of 6s and even 1 or 2 4s. One crew I was on divided the usual 325 and paid 60 a person and then the driver got the extra. The crew I'm on now just divides it out evenly and we all take turns driving. JV games 160-200. Mostly 4 man crews. JH games 120-150. Mostly 3 man crews. PW games 100-120. Usually 3 sometimes 2 or 4. |
