High School Game Fees by State?

I moved from Georgia to Florida and the fees were 33% less in Florida.

What does each state pay per official?

How many officials per game?

What does the eco make?

Thanks

Let me add...
Game fees for all GHSA football games shall be:
Regular season varsity (crew of 5 or 6) - $90.00 per on-on-field official.
Travel fees: 1 official $15, 2 officials $25, 3 officials $30 plus $5 / additional official for contests that require more than 3 contest officials.
Travel fees are on a per crew, per competition day basis. Travel fees must be used to compensate contest officials for travel-related expenses.
Playoff game (crew of 6) - $110.00 per on-field official. Travel fees do not apply to state tournament contests.
Auxiliary Official (ECO, chains) - one-half of an field official game fee.

In Florida, we get $61.00 pre official for a crew of 5 and 46 for a crew of 5 for jv/freshman. I believe ECO's get about 29 per game.

NC pays $70 for varsity and $60 for JV for 5 man crews.

An ECO is not required until the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Wyoming pays $55 for varsity regular season plus .55 per mile for the driver and .04 per mile for each rider. We will do 2 games every Friday, schools with no lights play in the afternoon and then a night game somewhere. Usually average about 300 miles or more every Friday and pray for no delays or bad weather in the afternoon games. Then for post season WY pays $65 plus mileage. 6-man football only uses 4 man crews.

We get from $55 to $65 for 5-man varsity. Some conferences pay travel, some don't.

I ref in the same state as RichMSN....$55 to $65 the norm, depending on Conference (5 man crew for varsity). JV & FR are usually $40 to $47.50, although that may go up now that some conferences are using 12 minute quarters for JV games (like WI Little Ten).

We did get $70 last week up in Green Bay....most I've ever been paid per game.

Varsity crews are 5-man. Each official will receive between $75 to $90 for the game fee. Most schools will pay a negotiated travel expense for the driver. This past Friday, my check was for $140.

Most schools pay $60-$70 per person on a 5-man crew. Some crews will work 6 but the school will usually split the check 6 ways rather than 5 (if they paid $60, this crew would only get $50 per). No mileage is paid during the regular season but you can usually deduct it on your taxes. Playoffs pay $50 for the first 3 rounds plus 0.20 per mile one way for each official. And those amounts have stayed the same for the past 8 years!

Texas pays varsity crews (5 man crews) based on a percentage of the total gate proceeds:

GROSS GATE RECEIPTS FEES GROSS GATE RECEIPTS FEES
Up to $150 - $45 $4,000 to $5,000 - $80
$150 to $250 - $50 $5,000 to $7,500 - $85
$250 to $500 - $55 $7,500 to $10,000 - $90
$500 to $1,000 - $60 $10,000 to $12,500 - $95
$1,000 to $2,000 - $65 $12,500 to $15,000 - $100
$2,000 to $3,000 - $70 $15,00 to $17,500 - $115
$3,000 to $4,000 - $75 $17,500 to $20,500 - *$125
* for each additional $5,000 above $20,500 add $20 to fee.

Timers get 50% of whatever the crewmember game fee ends up being but never less than $35.

I have only been paid for 2 games so far this year. One had a crowd of about 2,500 and paid $113 (includes a standard $10 mileage fee) The other had a crowd of about 4,000 and paid $158 (including the standard $10 mileage fee).

I've always wondered if anyone in WI just took 6 or 7 to work on Friday nights. I have never heard of such a thing, but I've thought of it.

The Big 8 plays 12 minute quarter FRESHMAN games and pays $40. Miserable. Of course, we keep time on the field on some of these games, so....

Very nice. I'll be looking forward to that in...15-20 years.

From what I understand, Houston negotiated some flat fees for sub-varsity, TAPPs games, ECOs, etc. Don't know the exact details though.

In Louisiana it works like this, based on test scores.

70-79 $55
80-89 $65
90-100 $75

Referees get an additional $15 on top of their fee.

in Mass, 80 for varsity (5man crew). 55 for subvarsity (3man)...still can't get over 5man crews in north carolina subvarsity games. that's crazy. good for you guys.

best gig around here, payday-wise, is the New England Jr. League. 4-man crew. you do double-headers of kids in 5th-7th grade. and it's $140 cash per official
