Need NCAA help
What is the rule on extending a period. I saw a DII crew extend a period for a dead ball foul that occurred after the period expired.

A period shall be extended so that a down that is free from accepted live ball fouls has been played, except for loss of down penalties. That's the basic rule. Dead ball fouls should not be included, but they would carry over.
