what's the call
I apologize if this is obvious, but I don't know for sure. I thought of this question watching the Bama Auburn game tonight. On a punt the receiving player dropped the ball and accidentally kicked it out of bounds at the 1 yard line. Ball is receiving team's ball on the one. What if he had kicked it out just behind the goal line... in and out of his own endzone?

TB. It is still a kick and if muffed and goes into the EZ and is downed or goes out of the EZ, it would be a TB.
In NF, it would be a TB as soon as it crossed the GL, but in NCAA the ball would have to be downed by R, or go OOB's behind the GL for a TB. |
