I'm back with a snap question
And once again, not in the NHFS rules. Sorry again
Most of you must've seen the false start controversy on the Bears/Eagles game last sunday. My question is not about that play in particular. Is about another play that Mike Pereira used as an example of a legal direct snap to the RB on the Falcons/Saints game. The video is on this link http://www.nfl.com/videos it's the NFLTA: Official Review - Oct. 24 at one point (around 3:24) Pereira says the play in question is legal but, as far as I can see, it's not. The play should've been called illegal motion... Joey Harrington is moving forward at the time of the snap Am I going crazy here or Mike Pereira is mistaken? |

What he said was it was a legal snap that could be recovered or advanced. He did not address the possible illegal motion aspect of the play, but since illegal motion does not kill the play, he is correct in regard to the point he was addressing.
