Velcro Position Letters?

Just wonderin', do all you guys south of the border have to wear the "position letters" on your back, or do some still get to wear numbers? Must admit, not a big fan of the big "U" or "R" on the back. Course, if we did that up here, you'd have to make room for the inevitable hoser suffix.....

Letters are worn on the college and professional levels only.

And while we're at it, I'm not a big fan of you hosers up there wearing big numbers and stirrup socks! So take off, eh!

Speaking of stirrups. I talked with a guy from a local up here in Canada that moved to the one piece a la our brethren to the South and it only lasted a year. Being a baseball player most of my life, I do not really like the stirrup and would prefer a one piece, but oh well. I was watching a classic college game the other day from the late 80s and the guys were wearing stirrups. Hey Hoss, did not see you in Edmonton last night. You did not sign up for the sticks?

No, black material the position letter is part of is very dense and thick enough to prevent that.
