NCAA: Momentum

Need a little refresher...

B 3/7 @ B-10. B1 intercepts A1's pass at the B-2 and his momentum carries him into the EZ. B1 runs in the EZ and fumbles the ball OOB over the end line. During B1's run, B2 blocked A2 below the waist at the B-1 yardline.

Rule reference to BS please.

Because of momentum, basic spot would be the spot where he caught the ball. Since foul occured behind basic spot, enforce from spot of foul, 1/2 distance to goal, 1 and 10 for B at B's 1/2 yard line.

See ruling for 7-2-4 in A.R.s. This shows that the ball would come back to spot of catch. Apply other principles from there.
