It is awesome! Simple, slick, and unnoticeable. Have new batteries every season and never have to worry again. Make sure you set it to have the first "shorter buzz" to be 5 seconds before the 25 second clock and at 45 seconds for the TO.

For those of you who don't realize, the manufacturer can set the warning buzzes to any time you wish. I see there are three models now with standard timing warnings. Make sure you get the right one for the level you are working.

As for using it, it is great. You don't have to worry about looking at a watch all the time to see when to give the warning signal. Just press a button and wait until that thing starts attacking your belt. It is very obvious to you when it goes off but nobody else knows it is going off.

Guys-
A much easeier, cheaper, and less clunky alternative to the Ready Ref is a watch made by Casio. I got mine earlier this offseason and can't wait to use it. It's $35 with free shipping: http://www.xcelwatches.com/servlet/t...-Casual/Detail

It vibrates, you can set it up to "warn" you by vibrating at 20 seconds, it comes preprogrammed with various timing incriments, overall I think it is a MUCH better product that the Ready Ref.

The only bad thing that I've found, you cannot set up two different countdown timers with warnings. By that I mean, you can't set up a 25 second countdown with a five second warning, and a 1 minute countdown with a 15 second warning. You can set them up, but they aren't separate. A little confusing, I know, but the watch treats it as: 20-5-45-15 straight through.

So grantsrc, have you actually used this watch in a game? Is the vibration strong enough so that you feel it without paying attention to it? This actually does seem like a better alternative.

I have yet to use it in a game. But I've worn it some around the house and whatnot. The vibration is very noticable.

I do wish it would beep and vibrate at the same time too, instead of one or the other. All in all, I love this watch. I am going to replace my NFL watch this year with this one.

I have become a much better back judge because of this product. I can now watch the play rather than trying to watch my watch every other second. This is a great product and works excellent. I have also had it in bad weather and I have a case for it which also works very well. I cannot see working the back judge position without this device.
