			hello

just need to get a clarification on when this penalty should be marked off. (A) has the ball on offense on the 3 yard line of (B) the defense, the pass is in the end zone and (A) scores doing the pass play, (B) was given a penalty for holding, my question when is this penalty marked off on the untimed down or the kick off? thank you tim

Difference between a foul and a penalty

There is a difference between a foul and a penalty.

If B fouls during the TD play, then A may accept the results of the play or accept the penalty distance, accessed on the suceeding spot - the TRY. If B fouls during the Try play, then A may accept the results of the play or accept the penalty distance, accessed on the suceeding spot - the Free Kick spot.

				Canadian Ruling

			Quote:

A scores a TD by virtue of a completed pass into the EZ. During the play, B is flagged for holding. Ok, in Canada, if A accepts the hold, a 10 yard foul will be applied from the PLS, half the distance and first down; if A declines the hold, A scores a touchdown. We do not carry over the yardage to the convert or kick-off. |
