vBulletin board question
I'm a newly registered member here after lurking for ages. I've noticed that keeping track of read threads isn't consistent between machines or sessions.
vBulletin has an option to keep track of read threads for users (when they're logged in) regardless of the computer they use. You can read a thread on a computer, take an iPhone to the, uh, kitchen, read a couple more threads, and come back to the computer and pick up where you left off. You can leave the board for a few hours, and rejoin where you left off. It's a much more convenient way to read a vB board, especially when the threads get pages long or last days. The setting is found in the Admin Control Panel at: vBulletin Options > General Settings > Thread/Forum Read Marking Type select "Database (no automatic forum marking)" Right now, I keep losing track of what I've read and what I haven't. I find it quite frustrating. I'm not sure who admins this board, but I would very much appreciate it if this idea could be at least discussed as a possible change. Thanks! |
