I'd be interested in seeing how you plan to do it. For instance, you'll notice I changed your name in the "Originally posted by". How would you check that?

I would restrict the ability to change quoted text. You can still multi-quote, nested-quote, etc. You just can't change any text. If you want to only quote a small portion of a post, you highlight the text that you wish to quote, and then click quote. Some AJAX should do the trick, now that I think about it.

I would not allow the quote tag.
