The Things We Used to Get Schooled On . . .

Backpedaling now seems to be just another a element of the Eye Test.
Long, long ago in another state I recall participating in drills at a clinic where we were actually taught proper technique in running backwards. All lined up at one end of the gym, backpedaling down the sideline one by one to the other end, then back again. Collars were wide. Whistles had peas.
Yikes!

Wish I'd read this years ago...

When I was starting, a veteran told me to backpedal so that I never turned my back on any action. At the end of this past season, my achilles tendon was killing me. Never again unless I absolutely have to.

I would venture to say that that veteran has not gotten extremely far in his career. But, I could be wrong.
