just wondering does the ball position affects the location.

for example when a player dribbles the ball past front court, the status of the ball is only at the front court when both player & ball passes front court, so if the player passed the half court but ball still at back half of the court, when the ball is in the air still back court and A1 touches the ball while he's at the front court, is the play now at the front court? based on this 3 point example and "is where the player were", the play would be at the front court and if the player still bounces the ball that's at the back court on the back court floor it's a backcourt violation?
It's not a shot.
