2 or 3 point?
A1 in the paint, passes a ball out to A2 who is standing beyond 3 point line, A2 jumps forward past the 3 point line into the 2 point area & catches the ball while still in mid air and shoots before landing inside, would this be considered as a 3 point shot or 2?

3-pointer.

Since that was outside the 3pt line in this case the shot is worth three points. |
3.
An airborne player's status with respect to the floor is considered to be that with which he/she was last in contact with the floor. So awkward though it be, this is a 3-pt field goal. |

just wondering does the ball position affects the location. for example when a player dribbles the ball past front court, the status of the ball is only at the front court when both player & ball passes front court, so if the player passed the half court but ball still at back half of the court, when the ball is in the air still back court and A1 touches the ball while he's at the front court, is the play now at the front court? based on this 3 point example and "is where the player were", the play would be at the front court and if the player still bounces the ball that's at the back court on the back court floor it's a backcourt violation? |

but if the defender touches the ball even if it looks like an interference play on. and if the ball goes in after defender interferes, 2 points for the inbounder team, or 3 if the defender jumps from beyond 3 point line based on "where the player were"? |

And three questions to help you get to the right place: 1. Does interference require there to be a shot? 2. Can a non-shot be scored as 3 points? 3. Does where a defender touches the ball have any impact on how many points are scored? |

If we talk about non-basket interference, yes. |
