Michigan State vs. Duke

Would like to get another look at the Dawson tripping foul at 11:26 if possible. TV crew called this foul and the one 20 seconds later "questionable."

I did not like either call. And the second one was worse as he reached to get that one. That is a call that was not an elephant.

Peace

I don't think it was that much of a reach. C is responsible for the curl play.

Didn't see anything on trip other than Duke player tripping on his own. Second play was a foul as he ripped his arm off the ball. Although with how the game was generally officiated, I don't think the second foul fit the game.

Can anyone post the first whistle in the 2nd half, I believe it
was around the 18:30 mark. Adams came from lead to call a foul on a long rebound above the 3pt. arc. Another ant ( IMO ).

I thought he was about to take the game over....

That is really not a curl play. That is more of a drive to the lane with two officials watching that play potentially. And the play not really starting near the lane. Not sure why he was watching there. The play happen outside of the lane on the other side of the lane. He reached to get it and it was not IMO obvious. If it was obvious I might agree with the call, but it was very close and I think on some level wrong (but that is up for debate). That was not a game saver or a call that everyone would say, "Absolutely that is a foul."

Peace

They missed both. First was not a trip and second was all ball. Basic physics an arm swinging down on the ball that hits the ball causes ball to go down. Arm swinging down that hits the arm causes ball to go up.

Both fouls went against the same player upping him to four in the game. Unfortunate.

I do think the defender trips the offensive player in the first clip...I would expect that to be called 9/10 times.

Second play...appears to be a clean strip. I have no problem with the slot making the call...he has the open look at the play. I wouldn't consider this a reach for him to call.

I think it's hard to say he tripped him when the offensive player stepped on his foot which was on the ground.

That is a highly questionable use of physics. A player can EASILY be fouled, and the ball go down.

Sure, but he either shouldn't have been in the game...or more aptly, shouldn't have taken a swipe from the side of a driving player.
