OT - Foul insurance?

There have been many times I've told a coach that the reason his team has so many fouls called against them is because he didn't buy foul insurance.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could actually sell foul insurance prior to a game? I bet this guy could handle all the details.

Bad.

Anything with progressive in the name is bad. Remember we dont pay Income Tax. We pay Progressive Income Tax. Well just under half of the country pays it at any rate.

Sunday, Feb. 8 is Flo's birthday. Her real name is Stephanie Courtney and she'll turn 45 on that day. I think that for her birthday present, we should get her a box of technical fouls and she can pass them out to people who don't pay their premiums.

Definitely not something I would try, but I actually was working a sub-varsity game with one of our long time officials at the high school he attended decades earlier- the AD & coaches were well known to him. At the end of the captains meeting he asked the home team captain if his coach brought the check for foul insurance - kid had a funny look and my partner told him he'd better go ask the coach. The kid fell for it hook, line & sinker...went & asked the coach. Everyone got a good laugh out of it, including the kid.
