Goaltending can't be called on a throwin, thus, no try.

Do you have a rule book (serious question)? See 5-1-1 (FED)

think about the question you just asked. now find a rule book online somewhere and get the definition of try and what constitutes a legal throw in. I also can say there is no where in the rulebook that mind reading is taught.

Check out the definition of a try in 4-41-2 and the definition of a goal in 5-1-1 and you tell me.

Saw hitting rim situation years ago when I was just starting out in a girls regional final, called by a very established official. Penalized coach had no idea, nor did any fans. I'm proud to say, I knew rule. Call was a game changer too.
