I can totally understand why this play could be missed if the official is observing the defensive player.

He was not in transition but he was way too wide. He was clearly looking to help on a 3 pt shot and was not in a good position for the drive.

While the first one is often no-called, it was definitely contact that affected the shot by a player who didn't have LGP. I'd like to see that called more, but it often isn't.

The 2nd play is a very easy travel. The dribble ended and the player caught the ball with one hand well before lifting the pivot. In fact, he caught it on the left foot just as the right foot came off the floor. He then stepped to the on the right (legal) and then left again.

I don't know way some keep suggesting it takes two hands to catch (gather) the ball. There is nothing in the rules that supports that. Typically, the dribble ends when it is caught and it is caught when the dribble ends.

There was a backcourt missed in OT I believe. Iowa trapped MSU in the front court and the MSU player bounce passed it on the division line to his buddy. No call.

First play is a foul IMO. I was surprised to see so many say no call. Those that did please explain your reasons.

Second play is a travel and not really that close. At full speed it looks even worse so I'm surprised they missed.

He was shooting the ball going away from the basket and the contact did not change his ability to make the shot. I am not convinced the contact put the shooter at any disadvantage.

Peace

I too would like to see someone explain how getting displaced just as you're trying to release a shot not have an effect on the shot. Maybe it wasn't a good shot but the contact most certainly didn't make it easier.

Tell me about it his initial release point was going toward the bottom right corner of the square and the ball hit just inside the pad around the backboard.

The contact by Harris caused that shot to go 2 feet to the right.

Second play is a travel, even on the first day of the 9 & 10 year old league. Ball is resting in his hand before the left foot comes down the first time.

Per latest NCAA-Men's video, this play was a travel. (which, of course, I said myself :D )

What video is this? Hopefully a video sent out to officials of obvious mistakes with a "lets not do this again" sticker taped to it?

It's a missed call. It's not something worth more than a brief mention in a video.
