...do you chart violations or just fouls?

I would chart that as a missed call by the trail.

Agree...not a block. Very poor angle by the trail to even try to make such a call. It was a secondary defender and the Trail was straightlined. The C had the best view of that play.

What am I missing here? I have the defender moving forward at the time of contact. That's a block, no?
