Team start coming on the court and then the shot clock goes off and the game clock stops with 3 seconds to go. This is going to depend on what level of play you're calling. In an NBA game? You're going to play it out...and even correct the game clock if needed...and if you don't, even in a blowout, you very well could get reprimanded for not doing so (if the game clock should be 3.2 but it shows 3.1, you better put those .1 seconds back). In a college game, I also doubt you'd be able to pull this off. In a high school game that uses a shot clock? You could probably get away with doing this, though I probably wouldn't and make them play it out.
