On a serious note, I think a lot of officials in the area must get irritated by cheerleaders b/c the young ladies always seemed shocked when I say things like "excuse me", or "I need to take this spot on the floor (outside the 3 point line), etc.

Whenever I had a problem with the cheerleaders standing too close to the court I explained to them during a break that when we run down the court we are looking back, so we will not see them.

I also explained that if there was a collision between me and one of them, they would be on the losing end of that train wreck.

Never had a problem!
